Former Representative Thom Collier served in the Ohio House of Representatives from September 2000-December 2008 where he served as Chairman of the Economic Development and Environment Committee for seven years.

He also served as Chairman of the Council of Sate Governments (CSG) Midwest Economic Development, Workforce Development, and Labor Committee from 2004-2008, which included 11 Midwestern states. 

In 2003, the Council of State Governments honored Collier as a “Henry Toll Fellow”, CSG's highest achievement for leadership. This honor is granted to less than 50 state government officials each year, from all three branches of government, around the country.

Prior to serving in the Ohio House, Collier served on Mount Vernon City Council and served on numerous boards for local, state, and national organizations.  He has been self employed for more than 20 years.  Since being term limited from the legislature Thom started “Right-Side-Up, LLC” a speaking, training, and consulting business.

He is the youngest of nine children, born and raised in Mount Vernon, where he resides with his wife Diane and their two daughters.
